Serena Williams outburst is all over the news today, and it's set to undergo an in-depth investigation. What happened? Well, Williams launched into a profane outburst at the U.S. Open last night. See the Serena Williams outburst in closeup right here. Williams lost her cool after being called for a foot fault on a second serve while trailing 15-30 and 5-6 in the second set of last night's match. Kim Clijsters won the first set 6-4. According to Yahoo! Sports, Williams will be asked to explain her actions and comments toward the female line judge. She'll likely have to pay a heavy fine for her actions. According to the Associated Press, Williams screamed at the official, “If I could, I would take this [bleep] ball and shove it down your [bleep] throat.” Do you think Williams should be fined? Hasn't John McEnroe, for one, done 10x worse in his day, yelling obscenities at linespeople?
Serena Williams is in the news for her outburst in the US Open 2009 in a match with Kim Clijsters against a lines-woman for making a wrong call. Serena found abusing the lines-woman after she was told that she was at fault because of her wrong foot movement and according to Serena she was wrong. As she had already received an earlier warning in the match for smashing a racket, Serena was handed an automatic point penalty for a second violation. So as a result Kim Clijsters won the match 6-4, 7-5 on Sunday night at US Open. Looking at a tape of the incident, including one broadcast on ESPN, it appeared Williams said, “I swear to God [bleep], I’m taking this ball and I’m shoving it your [bleep]. If I could, I would take . . . this ball and . . . shove it down your throat.” Well everyone of us loose temper sometimes and sportsman are also human beings so it’s not new that she lost her temper. We have caught John McEnroe many times scolding the umpires for no reason. So cool down guys… I mean this is not the last time any sports man gonna loose her temper and she isn’t first either.
