Actor Randy Quaid and his wife Evi were arrested in Texas on California Warrant on Thursday afternoon when they driving in Marfa, where they had been staying in the hotel. They were arrested for skipping California hotel bill $10,000. The couple was released on bond after spending several hours in the jail. Randy and his wife, Evi, posted $40,000 dollars in bonds to get out of Presidio Country Jail. According to authorities, Randy’s wife Evi Quaid put up a fight and resisted when they were arrested. Corps quickly restrained her.Quaid was charged of three things; burglary, defrauding and conspiracy.Presidio county sheriff Danny Dominguez told the associated press that he drove the actor to bank for the bail money and no special treatment was made to the actor. Quaid was not handcuffed.Dominguez also expressed himself by saying, “I like to help everybody out.”
Earlier in September, the warrant was issued after sheriff’s detective filed the case to district attorney after receiving complain that the couple had not paid the local hotel bill amounted to $10,000.Randy won a Golden Globe award. He is the best known for his roles in the “National Lampoon’s Vacation” movies, “Independence Day” and “Kingpin.” He was also nominated for Portrayal of president Lyndon in”LBJ: The Early Years”. Law enforcement sources tell us they were picked up by Presidio County Sheriff's deputies. We're told there was a struggle and deputies had to wrestle Evi to the ground as she screamed loudly. Felony arrest warrants had been issued for the Quaids in Santa Barbara, CA for burglary, defrauding an innkeeper and conspiracy. They're accused of stiffing the San Ysidro Ranch near Santa Barbara out of thousands of bucks.
