Fortunately, the late-night host was able to laugh about the incident afterward. "Last thing I remember I was enjoying the play with Mrs. Lincoln, and the next thing I knew I was in bed being served cookies and juice," Conan joked. A source tells us the 46-year-old funnyman was examined at a hospital. NBC didn't immediately comment on his condition. As a result of the incident, Friday evening’s show wasn’t completed, and a “Tonight Show” re-run aired. NBC’s “Tonight” show was forced to broadcast a repeat rather than its regularly scheduled first-run show Friday night after the star, Conan O’Brien, hit his head while attempting a stunt during the show’s taping.
Mr. O’Brien could not continue with the show and was taken away for medical attention. NBC issued a brief statement saying only that Mr. O’Brien had “hit his head doing a stunt and the show was not finished.” No other details were released. One staff member on the show said Mr. O’Brien was expected to be fine and it was likely he would be back to work on Monday.
