Garrett is almost assured a trophy at the 51st annual Grammy Awards show Sunday night, Feb. 8, in Los Angeles.
Others nominated included My Morning Jacket for best alternative music album, Ricky Skaggs for best bluegrass album, Patty Loveless for best country album and best country collaboration with vocals, Ken Flaherty Jr. for best historical album, and Steven Curtis Chapman for best gospel album and song.
"I'm going to pick up my husband's award if he wins, which I know he will," she said. "It's been a really, really crazy year but I just think the way things have been going, to me it's all God's plan, so surely he didn't get this far for nothing. He's going to get his. He was a hard worker." "He was a star in the industry, but he just never got to be a star in the public eye," she said, "but in the industry, everyone knew Stephen."
