Patriot Day

Patriot Day
Patriot Day. Please take a moment today to remember the people that lost their lives on September 11, 2001. Also, let us not forget the men and women of law enforcement, emergency services and armed forces that laid their lives on the line that day and the ones that continue to do so each and every day. These men and women are, and forever will be, true patriots and this day belongs to them. As we remember September 11, 2001, we reaffirm the vows made in the earliest hours of our grief and anger. As liberty's home and defender, America will not tire, will not falter, and will not fail in fighting for the safety and security of the American people and a world free from terrorism. We will continue to bring our enemies to justice or bring justice to them. This Patriot Day, we hold steady to this task.
I’m getting up early today to take part in the official commemoration of Patriot Day, the observance established by President George W. Bush and Congress for the anniversary of the terrorist attacks on 9/11. Assuming the weather stays decent, I will emcee the event for our local radio station, AM 1280 The Patriot, home of our Saturday NARN talk shows. The ceremony will take place at the state capitol, will have a number of speakers, and will feature a flyover by the 934th Airlift Wing. The President did what he thought was respectful and important. This isn’t a body count contest, and your defining it as one is a little nauseating. I suppose I am being too hard on the man, he didn’t so far as we’ll get to see scratch his balls like he did during the national anthem or turn it into the Barry hour Fact of the matter moron, the filthy liar in the White House is not doing his job, has declared there is no such thing as a global war on terror, has decided to interrogate our enemies with hugs and hot chocolate, and hasn’t made a single foreign visit that he hasn’t bashed America. The 9/11/01 terrorists were enemies of the state but so is the rat bastard traitor sitting in the White House. Deal with it.
