Benjamin Brown, 28, left to go to work at about 5:00am. He left early to study for an accounting test he was going to take that afternoon. "I got up about 6:30 a.m. and realized he was gone and I called his cell phone and he didn't answer," said Ragan Brown. It's been waiting game as she sits at home, hoping to find out what happened to the love of her life. "I just miss him so much and I love him and I just want him back," she said.
The sheriff's office says surveillance video shows Brown walking into his office building at 8550 United Plaza Blvd. at 5:20am. They also know he made it into his office because some of his study items were found on his desk. The surveillance does not show Brown leaving the building. His car was found at his office, with no signs of forced entry or any suspicious activity. Detectives also located his personal belongings inside Brown's office. According to one of Brown's professor's, Brown did not show up for his class that afternoon.
"He would never go anywhere or do anything without telling me or letting me know what he's doing," Ragan said. Detectives did a systematic floor-to-floor search of the building and its grounds to no avail. Detectives have also checked with all area hospitals in an attempt to locate Brown. Detectives also tried to locate Brown on his cell phone, but there was no answer. He is described as a 5'7" white male and weighs about 170 lbs.
