Erin Andrews peephole video
Erin Andrews peephole video case. As we mentioned a while back, a video of ESPN’s Erin Andrews naked in her hotel room, managed to make its way onto the Internet a couple of months ago. At the time of the incident, there was a lot of speculation as to whether or not it was someone that Erin knew that took the video. Well according to reports from msn.foxsports.com, a Chicago man who is accused of the taking the videos, has just been arrested. According to an FBI statement, a 48-year old man by the name of Mr. Michael David Barrett, now faces federal charges, of interstate stalking for taking the videos, posting the videos online, and trying to sell them to celebrity Web site TMZ. Michael David Barrett, 48, has been arrested as the man who secretly filmed ESPN reporter, Erin Andrews
while she disrobed in her hotel room. Known as the ‘Erin Andrews Peephole Video’ the alleged suspect apparently knew the videos would be a hot commodity. According to the FBI, Michael David Barrett not only posted the videos online, but shopped them around to the highest bidder. The FBI reports that Michael David Barrett had a total of eight ‘Erin Andrews Peephole Videos’ and posted seven of those online. They also believe that Barrett called numerous hotels in Nashville to find which one Erin Andrews was staying at. He is charged on federal stalking charges and was arrested Friday, October 2, 2009 at O’Hare International Airport, located in New York. The FBI also reports that Michael David Barrett requested that the hotel place him in a room adjacent to that of Erin Andrews. The arrest came as a result of Barrett offering the videos for sale to TMZ; TMZ refused the offer and contacted Erin Andrews’ attorney, the Associated Press reports.
