David Letterman himself confessed that he had affairs with his staffers and by far two names have been made public; Stephanie Birkitt and Holly Hester.

These relations made David the target of an extortion attempt by Robert J. “Joe” Halderman, who was also among his staff. The correlation was based on sexual activities and Holly doesn’t mind admitting that she was madly involved with Letterman. Hester explained that David had a special bedroom within the premises where the late night show was recorded, but it was a top secret, shared only between David Letterman and his ‘loved-ones.’ She further detailed that their ‘private’ relationship could last only a year and that it was developed prior to David’s arrival at CBS.
